Job summary An exciting opportunity has risen for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our Reactive Emergency Assessment Community Team (REACT) as a Band 7 Physiotherapist. The REACT team is a multi-disciplinary integrated community service within ESNEFT incorporating, Urgent Community Response service, OPAT (Outpatient Parenteral Antibiotics Therapy), OOHs (Out of Hours) and Virtual Ward pathways patients. This role will be working for our Urgent Community Response Team which has developed pathways with East of England Ambulance Service and the Frailty Virtual Ward, two new and exciting government initiatives. Our team delivers excellent patient focused care to patients in Ipswich and the East Suffolk community. Could you be a valued key member of our team? The role will be for up to 37.5 hours per week, including weekdays & weekends. Staff are expected to work 8am to 8pm shifts across the week. Main duties of the job The purpose of this role is to provide highly skilled Physiotherapy within REACT. This role will have specific links with East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust, Ipswich Emergency Department and Community stakeholders. The post holder will: Provide skilled Physiotherapy clinical expertise with specialised knowledge in admission avoidance, frailty and caring for the older person in the community. To provide professional leadership involving recruitment, supervision, appraisal and support and development of staff Provide excellent shift leadership skills ensuring patient flow and optimising staffing capacity to reach the patient demand. To promote high standards of professional practice and the leadership of delivery of quality care. Plan and provide highly specialised training/education programmes for nurses, therapists, and other disciplines in relation to admission avoidance. Maintain a high level of awareness of relevant research trends and national recommendations regarding admission avoidance and older person's care/frailty and admission avoidance. To be responsible and accountable for ensuring the REACT team complies with clinical governance and quality.
