El Futuro is currently hiring a full-time Rural Mental Health Lead, preferably an Outpatient Therapist, but not required. This position provides leadership and support to the Siler City clinical program and actively participates in supporting El Futuro’s goal to increase mental health services for underserved Latinos in rural counties, through relationship building with community leaders in Chatham and surrounding counties. Outpatient Therapists provide direct services to individuals and families to reach treatment goals in an ethical, high-quality, evidence-based, and culturally informed approach.
This position is located in the Siler City clinic, working remotely two days per week and in the Siler City clinic three days per week providing services in-person. Therapists ensure 8 hours of client appointments per week are scheduled after 4:00pm, and must be available for Friday morning meetings, 9:00-11:00am (mostly virtual).
The full-time annual salary for this position starts at $64,000.00 and will be pro-rated if the candidate prefers a work schedule of less than 37.5 hours per week. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Rural Mental Health Lead Outpatient Therapist performs a wide range of functions including, but not limited to the following:
Rural Mental Health Lead Functions:
* Provide leadership to clinical services programs in Siler City clinic, including monitoring walk-in clinic (WIC), providing crisis support, and managing clinician schedules to ensure coverage.
* Provide clinical supervision to provisionally licensed and fully licensed clinicians.
* Collaborate with Clinical Services Manager to ensure continuity of services and staff engagement between the Durham and Siler City clinics.
* Collaborate with Clinical Services Manager and Director of Clinical Programs and Population Health to establish and monitor programmatic goals, budget, deliverables, including client outcomes, client satisfaction, client access, and develop strategies to meet pre-established program deliverables.
* Collaborate with Manager of Client Care and Engagement to implement and coordinate appropriate programs and events related to clinical services and client needs.
* Build and establish professional relationships with other organizations and leaders in Chatham and surrounding counties to network and to assist in marketing of the Siler City clinic.
* Develop and implement county-specific outreach plans.
* Participate in Chatham and surrounding counties events to promote services provided at the Siler City clinic.
* Partner with Advancement and Communications team to showcase Siler City’s clinical achievements and assist with reporting to funders.
* Contribute to a positive work environment by following through on tasks, taking initiative, working with the team and identifying solutions.
Outpatient Therapist Functions:
* Provide bilingual, culturally informed ongoing outpatient clinical services (individual and/or family psychotherapy) to adults, adolescents, and/or children.
* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address family issues, behavior patterns, and other personal issues.
* Using various techniques, collect information and data about clients to determine the best use of treatment options.
* Participate in walk-in screening and assessments within a walk-in clinic model.
* Maintain and submit accurate and timely documentation of clinical services provided, progress notes, recommendations, and lists of any recommended therapeutic activities.
* Complete timely and accurate billing notes.
* Confer with other counselors, doctors, staff members, and other professionals to analyze individual cases and coordinate any counseling services, including referrals to other specialists.
* Create and maintain positive relationships with social service providers, other counselors, assistants, and community leaders.
* Contribute to the clinical team’s knowledge base of emerging and changing best practices to best meet our client population.
* Engage in learning opportunities through “La Mesita”, El Futuro’s training platform and network of bilingual providers in North Carolina.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
* Outpatient Therapist Required: Master’s degree (or higher) in a field directly related to behavioral/mental health care and treatment (eg: Clinical Psychology, Social Work, Clinical Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy)
* Outpatient Therapist Required: Provider must be eligible to practice as a licensed mental health provider in the state of North Carolina. This includes candidates with an LCSW, LCMHC, LMFT, or Ph.D. in psychology.
* Required: Fluency in spoken Spanish. Must also be able to read and communicate with clients in written Spanish. Must be able to document clinical encounters in English.
* Minimum 2 years of experience providing mental health treatment to a diverse community, in particular with the Spanish-speaking community.
* Clinical experience with adults and children.
* Prefer training in trauma-informed practices.
* Commitment to the provision of culturally informed services.
* Demonstrated enthusiasm about working as part of an interdisciplinary team.
* Flexibility, creativity, and a spirit of collaboration.
* Minimum 1-year supervisory experience.
