Microsoft Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Brunel Road, Newton Abbot
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience
Contract: Permanent, full-time, subject to a 3-month probation period
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, eight-hour days (40 hours per week) based at our office, hybrid working can be supported. Occasional on-call work will be required for urgent support needs, and occasional travel is required to our site in the Czech Republic.
We are looking for a Microsoft Infrastructure Engineer to join our team! In this role, you will manage and optimise Microsoft systems, including Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Azure, and Entra ID. You’ll provide expert 3rd line support, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure the stability and security of our IT infrastructure.
As part of our team, you’ll also contribute to a culture of knowledge sharing, helping to mentor colleagues and enhance collective expertise through collaboration and best practice discussions.
If you have:
* Proven experience in 3rd line technical support or engineering, focusing on Microsoft technologies.
* In-depth knowledge of the Microsoft Stack: Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Exchange.
* Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and administration.
* Experience with virtualization technologies (Nutanix or VMware).
* Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP).
* Experience with security tools such as Intune, Conditional Access, and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
* Relevant Microsoft certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect, MCSA, AZ-104, AZ-400, or MCSE.

About the Role
As a Microsoft Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting and enhancing our Microsoft-based systems. You’ll provide 3rd line support, troubleshooting complex issues, and ensuring the performance and security of Microsoft environments, both on-premises and in the cloud.
You will be responsible for the design, deployment, and management of scalable Microsoft infrastructure solutions across Azure and on-premises environments. Additionally, you will manage Microsoft 365 services, lead technical projects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve our infrastructure.
