Ratcliffe College, one of the UK’s leading Independent Catholic Day and Boarding Schools, is now seeking an excellent, experienced and proactive Head of Human Resources (HR) to join our team. This is an exciting, rare and exceptional opportunity to play a strategic role, effectively as Head of People, in a highly successful independent educational institution, employing over 300 staff, and as Head of HR, take the lead on all people related matters to have a significant positive impact on the ongoing success of the College.
The role has become vacant due to the planned retirement of the current postholder who has held the position for 17 years.
Leading the HR Department, you will have the gravitas to establish credibility, be a strategic partner, supporting the senior management team, departmental managers and staff in all aspects of HR. You will be expected to provide accurate, high level employment advice, ensure best practice, oversee all recruitment, and champion a positive work environment throughout the College.
Our ideal Head of Human Resources will:
* Have a minimum of 5 years of high-level HR experience
* Hold a CIPD Level 7 qualification or have equivalent experience
* Be able to give timely and accurate high-level employment law advice to managers
* Be confident in developing effective recruitment strategies for a variety of roles
* Work efficiently and thrive in a fast-paced environment
* Excel at communication and collaboration, building strong relationships with colleagues
* Handle people related issues with the utmost tact, diplomacy and sensitivity.
* Ensure that all aspects of the College HR function is regularly reviewed to provide the framework by which all employees have the opportunity for continuous professional development.
* Enable all employees to benefit from a developing range of supportive policies, processes and rewards.
