Purovets are searching for a compassionate veterinarian to join the friendly team at an independent practice with excellent facilities, including an orthopaedic referral service. There is a wealth of experience among the seven vets and they are all very supportive and happy to discuss cases with colleagues. As such, they are happy to consider vets with a range of experience and can accommodate someone with 2-3 years of experience that can learn and grow with the practice.
They have many loyal clients and pride themselves on the "personal touch", and they are now looking to add another vet to the team to allow them to maintain their high standards of patient and client care. Their vets are allowed clinical freedom and do not set targets, and they pride themselves on their amazing nurses and support staff. The practice is well equipped with in-house Idexx lab and blood machines, digital X-Ray, ultrasound, dental X-Ray and full dental suite, Robovet computer system and much more.
You will enjoy a mix of consults and surgery, with the freedom to follow up your cases. The typical full-time rota is a mix of early and late shifts, from 8am - 4:30pm and 10:30am - 7pm, as well as a 1 in 6 rota for on-call and weekends with very generous time off in lieu. This enables them to provide this service for their clients while also sharing the out of hours work to improve the work/life balance for the whole vet team. You would have an experienced veterinary surgeon and nurse available to give help and support for the on-call duty.
