The Interim Communications Officer will contribute to delivering an innovative, engaging, and efficient corporate communications service to enhance public awareness and engagement with the authority and its services. Client Details My client is a public sector organisation with offices in Borehamwood. Description The Interim Communications Officer will have the following responsibilities: Plan and manage communication campaigns, balancing digital and non-digital content. Create digital content and write copy for publications, under supervision. Handle media relations, respond to inquiries, and issue press releases. Provide communication advice and support to service areas. Monitor media and social media coverage, and report on communications activity. Write content for internal communication channels. Manage and respond to social media activity, staying updated on trends. Follow procedures for publication production and coordinate with designers. Update website content and ensure it's accurate and current. Take photos for communications materials. Occasional out-of-hours work for events or emergencies. Profile The Interim Communications Officer will have the following: Demonstrable experience in a similar role. Please note, this contract will focus on video production and digital content creation, so candidates must have experience with this Experience within a communications environment, such as a media/PR Office, or within an editorial department Strong writing skills to create content independently for corporate publications and other channels Excellent verbal and written communication skills to create and deliver presentations. Job Offer 9 month contract, paid on an hour rate. Based Borehamwood - 3 days a week in the office, 2 from home.
