Ransomes Jacobsen Ltd are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Sales professional to mentor and develop our ELiTE sales team. This role is pivotal in promoting and selling our electrified turf care equipment to golf courses in the UK and Ireland. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and commercial acumen, as well as proven sales experience in the grounds care industry. They will have an adaptable approach, adept at engaging with all stakeholders internally and externally, ensuring our equipment meets the operational and technical needs of our customers, whilst ensuring the ELiTE sales team are fulfilling set objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Achieving personal sales objectives in order to contribute to the overall growth of the company;
* Providing direction, support, and motivation to the ELiTE sales team to achieve sales objectives and growth;
* Providing guidance on identifying new business opportunities;
* Mentoring and developing a high-performing sales team;
* Developing and executing sales strategies to promote the electrification of golf course turf management;
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with golf course General Managers, Greenskeepers, and Mechanics;
* Understanding and articulating the commercial benefits of our products, including cost savings, efficiency, and sustainability;
* Conducting tailored product demonstrations of electrified turf care equipment, as required;
* Building strong relationships and collaborating with our dealer network, to ensure seamless sales processes and customer satisfaction;
* Negotiating and structuring deals, ensuring profitable margins and customer satisfaction;
* Staying informed about industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies in turf care and electrification;
* Collaborating with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns;
* Providing feedback to the product development team based on customer insights and market demands;
* Utilising CRM software to track sales activities, customer interactions, and follow-ups.
About You
* Proven experience in grounds care industry, preferably golf;
* Excellent leadership and team management skills are desirable;
* Excellent commercial skills, including deal structuring and margin analysis;
* Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders;
* Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills, with a passion for sales;
* Technical aptitude and the capability to acquire product knowledge;
* Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently;
* Valid UK drivers license and a willingness to travel as required.
