About the Role:
As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting pupils with SEMH needs within the school's SEN Hub. Working closely with staff and specialists, you will create a safe, nurturing environment that encourages pupils to engage with learning and develop their emotional resilience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to pupils' individual needs.
* Implement strategies to support emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
* Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and accessible learning activities.
* Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to implement personalised support plans.
* Foster positive relationships with pupils, encouraging confidence and independence.
What We’re Looking For:
* Previous experience working with children with SEMH needs or in a similar role.
* A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting children.
* Knowledge of SEMH strategies and interventions (training can be provided).
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
