We are seeking to appoint a Services Manager to lead Early Years education within the Education Effectiveness team as part of our commitment to ensure we get the best start for local children in the early years. We are looking for a post-holder who can think strategically and work collaboratively in the interests of children in the early years, from settings, nursery, infant, primary and special schools, to government and local stakeholders. Duties include working closely with Early Years Officers within and outside the effectiveness service to devise, lead and implement strategies to ensure high quality, evidence-informed early childhood education services that are effective and enable children and families to thrive.
Working alongside other service managers you will report to the Head of Service for Education Effectiveness. As a trusted advisor you will provide sound analysis and advice and offer valuable insights which will guide and support key decision making at the highest levels.
This influential role will really put you in the driving seat, giving you the ability to shape the Early Years Education offer and the work of the councils maintained nurseries as well as leading on partnership work with private nurseries and school settings.
Early Years Education experience is essential and you will have a proven track record in implementing strategic plans for education effectiveness as well as a solid understanding of the principles of Early Years Education. You will lead, direct and draw support from a team of Early Years officers.
