A leading electric utility company is seeking a Lead Electrical Control Systems Engineer to join their Production Division in Wales on a permanent basis.
The Lead Electrical Control Systems Engineer will deliver the technical expertise required for National Grid (ESO) tenders related to market products at the business. This includes transforming Pump/Turbine Unit capabilities into income through National Grid schemes, ensuring compliance with Grid Code and tender specifications.
Key Responsibilities: Lead Electrical Control Systems Engineer
Translate tender requirements into electrical and turbine/generator data. Develop and validate models for Grid Code compliance.
Plan, direct, and oversee resources and contractors to deliver projects in line with tender specifications.
Negotiate and manage contracts to support tender requirements.
Engage with ESO and industry groups on Grid Code or CUSC changes.
Ensure market product delivery within safe operational windows.
Implement quality and safety initiatives in all tenders.
Develop solutions for plant issues and create performance protocols to meet market requirements.
Foster a collaborative team environment. Share knowledge to enhance team capabilities.
