We have a vacancy for Learner Services Administrator to provide learner support to the Croydon Adult Learning and Training (CALAT) service at Strand House, Thornton Heath. Whilst based at the office detailed above, the breadth of service areas that the administrator covers does mean that the successful Officer may be required to work at any Council Office within the borough of Croydon such as the CALAT centre at New Addington, Clock tower and Strand House in Thornton Heath. CALAT provides a customer facing service to adult learners in Croydon and we are looking for an Administrator who have a real interest in adult learning and who feel they can make a contribution to help to support this area of service delivery with front customer facing support and back office/data entry support. Some evening or weekend work may be required to support learners via a rota. The environment is fast-paced and demanding and the successful candidates will be able to work well in a team but who can also work successfully on their own projects. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate that they are self- motivated and self-starters. A brief summary of the role: · The successful candidate will be able to provide high quality reception duties ensuring that service standards and customer requirements are met · The successful candidates will be able to deliver front line customer service · Some knowledge of financial administration ability will be required. · The inputting of data into databases accurately and quickly is an essential requirement. You must have: · Experience of systems and databases such as equivalent of Unit-e with proficiency in financial database such as One Oracle, Secure Email, Word 2010, Excel 2010. Knowledge/training in SharePoint will also be a requirement. · Ability to exercise total confidentiality and the highest degree of tact and diplomacy in dealings with senior officers, members of the public and service users, at times involving complex matters. · Resilient team player to work in a challenging environment · Flexible team player with the ability to work in a dynamic role · Financial administration ability.
