Excellent communication skills, both in English and understanding Welsh at level 1, are essential. You have strong management skills, demonstrating the ability to oversee and mentor a team effectively, and are capable of developing and implementing outcome-focused care plans. You bring personal strategies to manage demanding workloads with prioritization and time management skills. The ability to travel within Conwy County for meetings and training is crucial. What the Job Involves As a Team Manager in the Family Support & Intervention - Safeguarding & Legal unit, you assist the Section Manager in overseeing the Safeguarding and Legal Team across Conwy County. Your role involves managing the receipt of referrals, ensuring timely decision-making for Child Protection cases, and supervising level 2 & 3 social workers. You are responsible for quality assurance of court reports, attending PLO meetings, and ensuring the creation of quality assessments and outcome-focused care plans. You monitor team performance, ensure compliance with statutory duties, and support both staff development and inter-agency collaboration. Your managerial duties include managing budgets, formal supervision, executing performance reviews, and contributing to service evaluation and planning. You will also undertake other tasks as required by the Line Manager or Head of Service. This role demands a commitment of 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, based in Coed Pella in Conwy, with a temporary assignment lasting approximately 12 weeks, and potential for extension.
