The UK site in Scotland serves as the home of the iconic Deep Heat brand, developing, manufacturing, and marketing healthcare products for UK, European, African, and Middle Eastern markets.
We seek an exceptional Head of Quality to join our team in East Kilbride. This individual will lead a team of 5 direct reports across QC, QA, and microbiology, requiring strong leadership skills and a proven track record in quality management within medical devices, consumer health, or related sectors.
A strong background in QA and supplier assurance is essential, along with the ability to work in a busy and varied environment.
This is an exciting time to join Mentholatum, with expansion into diverse new markets and a broader product range from our global owner, Rohto. The Head of Quality will be involved in improving systems, ensuring adaptability while maintaining compliance.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure the compliant and effective operation of quality management systems at Mentholatum UK (MUK) for the manufacture and distribution of medicines, medical devices, cosmetics, and other general products.
* Oversight of Mentholatum Ireland (MIE) for the importation and release of medicinal products and EU Importation of Medical Devices.
As we strive for growth outside of our main UK market, including the Middle East, the quality function plays a crucial role in supporting this growth from a quality and compliance perspective.
We offer a flexible working environment and a positive, supportive culture. The ideal candidate should be on-site in East Kilbride 3-4 days a week, with commitment to travel for audits and Ireland. Flexibility for travel and preparation of audit reports will be provided.
Requirements
* Strong leadership skills and a proven track record in quality management within medical devices, consumer health, or related sectors.
* Strong background in QA and supplier assurance.
* Ability to work in a busy and varied environment.
Salary Range:
■ □ £80,000 - £100,000 per annum, depending on experience.
