We're looking for a Merchandising Team Leader based in the Watford, WD17 2BD area. You'll be an integral part of a field-based retail merchandising team, working in a range of high street retailers on behalf of exciting household name brands. We work across categories including: Books and Entertainment, Fashion, Grocery, Health and Beauty, Beers, Wines and Spirits, and Toys.
You'll be supervising and training your team to ensure they deliver excellent service for our clients and meet deadlines. Merchandising tasks include setting up Point of Sale displays, checking stock levels, and replenishing fixtures. Every day is different and rewarding! About the role:
We need a strong and organized people manager to ensure our retail merchandisers continue to deliver coverage for our clients. Your territory will include Watford, Borehamwood, Barnet, Northwest London through Finchley and Central London, including areas like Hammersmith, Fulham, Surrey Quays, and Kings Cross. A good communicator and problem solver who leads by example. You will be supported by a territory manager in London and your line manager for the wider region.
The hourly rate for merchandising tasks is £12.70, and for administrative tasks, it is £13.05.
Your usual shift pattern will be 30 hours across Mondays to Fridays, with occasional weekend work (as agreed in advance).
Retail or merchandising experience is required, along with a driving license and access to a car.
Responsibilities include:
1. Supervising: Supporting the coordination of merchandising schedules, coaching, and training team members on principles, processes, and procedures to ensure high-quality service.
2. Compliance and Standards: Acting as a compliance champion, maintaining high standards, following planograms, store policies, and health and safety guidelines.
3. Product Placement and Replenishment: Organizing products on shelves and displays to maximize visibility and appeal.
4. Promotional and Point of Sale Setup: Setting up promotional displays and signage effectively.
5. Communication and Relationship Building: Building relationships with store colleagues and providing feedback to client teams.
Ideal Candidate:
* Willing to travel across the area
* Full UK driving license and access to a business-use vehicle
* Comfortable with manual handling
* Experience in retail merchandising, retail, or customer service
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to work independently and find solutions
* Experience supervising or coaching colleagues is a plus
* Willing to accept home deliveries for some visits (paid extra)
* Confident using a company tablet for tasks
