We have an exciting opportunity to join the Haematology and oncology outpatient department at Queen’s Hospital. We are seeking a committed individual who demonstrates PRIDE behaviours to join the team as a Registered Nurse. This is a busy outpatient department open Monday-Friday 08.00-18.00, and the successful post holder would be required to work 3-4 shifts during these hours. This is a part-time post, and flexibility is required. The applicant needs to demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and be IT competent, who is passionate about delivering high-quality care.
Patients with either a malignant or non-malignant haematology or oncology diagnosis attend the outpatient area for review of diagnosis and subsequent management. Nurses within the department run nurse-led clinics delivering a mixture of supportive treatments and Sub cut SACT, as well as CVAD care.
The successful candidate will work in the department delivering care to our patients in the outpatient setting, supporting our patients through their journey with us. The Registered Nurse's focus is the clinical delivery of treatments alongside being a support to the junior sister with the day-to-day running of the department.
The successful candidates will need to work well within the team to maintain high-quality care for our patient population and be a supportive team member in a developing team.
We are looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals with excellent communication skills, the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, and demonstrate PRIDE values and behaviours through their work.
To be considered for this role, you need to hold a valid UK NMC registration or have applied for your NMC PIN.
