Opportunity for two Patient Partners to join our Council.
We are looking for our first ever Patient Partners to join our Council.
This is an opportunity for two osteopathic patients to contribute to the strategic direction of the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC) by sharing insights and objective feedback from the patient perspective. The programme provides successful candidates an opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge. We will also provide ongoing support and mentoring.
The GOsC is a modern, inclusive, and innovative healthcare regulator and we consider diversity to be a strength. We wish to encourage applications from the widest possible field of candidates to help us reflect UK society. Note that this position is only open to individuals who have first-hand experience of being an osteopathic patient in the last 6-12 months.
Please get in touch if you are:
1. passionate about patient engagement and public and patient protection
2. able to act as an independent ‘critical friend’ to support an organisation’s future strategy
3. able to put forward views on behalf of patients.
You should expect to work no more than 10 days a year and earn £200 a day. All Council meetings are held in London in person. We pay reasonable travel and subsistence expenses which are incurred as part of this role. Appointment starts 1 September 2025 initially for one year with the possibility of a one-year extension.
