My client is an ambitious, fast-growing specialist fire and security Group with 13 businesses and sales of £16m. They have sourced, acquired, and grown businesses in passive and active fire, FRAs, and security and electrical services across the UK, who are well established with high growth potential.
One of these acquisitions is the sole provider of passive fire services in the group, providing fire stopping and fire door works to properties across the UK. Since the acquisition, they have been establishing the team and processes, ensuring it has the foundations to grow and realize its full potential.
They are now looking for a Managing Director to oversee the business in its entirety.
The business is 3rd party accredited, with existing relationships and a network of sub-contractors. As the sole provider of passive fire services in the group, it represents a huge opportunity for you to take the central lead on growing the passive fire business across the group. This can be through continuing to grow and establish the existing business, or through further company acquisitions in the sector. The group is highly entrepreneurial and is always open to exploring further growth opportunities.
They are looking for three critical elements in a candidate above all else:
1. Commercially minded: Able to find good business opportunities, secure the sale, protecting margins and profit throughout.
2. Leadership: Growing a small business and a new team takes perseverance, maturity, and problem solving.
3. Industry wisdom: Not just technical, but how the sector works now and where it is going.
