We are seeking a committed and proactive Safeguarding & Review Manager to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role involves overseeing our safeguarding policies and ensuring comprehensive review mechanisms are in place to protect vulnerable populations. The successful candidate will play an essential role in promoting a culture of safety and accountability within our organization. This position requires deep knowledge of safeguarding practices and legislation, as well as the ability to implement effective review processes and strategies. Reporting directly to senior management, the Safeguarding & Review Manager will work closely with various internal and external stakeholders to develop best practices that prioritize the well-being of individuals within our care. You will also be responsible for conducting risk assessments, providing training and support to staff, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Ultimately, this role is crucial in creating an environment where safeguarding principles are at the forefront of our operational framework, and where everyone is empowered to contribute to that mission. Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain safeguarding policies and procedures.
Conduct regular reviews and audits to ensure compliance with safeguarding standards.
Provide training and support to staff on safeguarding issues and best practices.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive safeguarding approach across the organization.
Assess potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to safeguard vulnerable individuals.
Act as the point of contact for external agencies regarding safeguarding concerns and inquiries.
Prepare reports and presentations for senior management on safeguarding performance and areas for improvement.
Requirements
Proven experience in a safeguarding or related role within a relevant sector.
Strong understanding of safeguarding legislation and best practices.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to assess risk and implement strategies.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong leadership skills with a focus on team development and support.
Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field; relevant certifications are a plus.
Hours Per Week: 36.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £27.56
Location: Hereford, Herefordshire
