We are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Senior Administrator to join our Older People and Adult Community (OPAC) Administration Team supporting the Older People Mental Health Team, Cambridge.
This is an office-based role. The ideal candidate will have a strong teamwork ethic, a sense of accountability, and the ability to work under considerable pressure at times.

Main duties of the job
The main principle of the role is to ensure the provision of a professional and competent service, offering excellent customer care to patients, their families, and healthcare professionals. You will be leading and supervising a team of administrators and referral coordinators for the OPAC Mental Health Team and take operational responsibility for them and their allocation of work.
The post holder will deliver administrative services within the teams. Duties will include ensuring the processing of referrals, waiting list management, and patient flow is consistent and effective across all Memory Assessment services. Supporting the recruitment and onboarding of new and locum staff, taking accurate messages, and carrying out office duties. Word processing, accurately inputting data onto the relevant electronic system, and any other general admin duties that may be requested by the service manager or your line manager.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
* Supervise a team of administrative staff including undertaking appraisals, supervision, training, and development of band 3 staff.
* Provide information and support to managers on the performance and conduct of members of staff and support with all informal and formal processes.
* Be responsible for organising and controlling own and others workload ensuring deadlines are observed and duties performed efficiently.
* Provide cover as directed by Line Manager for other members of the team in their absence and assist with their workloads, as necessary.
The Senior Administrator for this post will be required to travel to other sites for business purposes; therefore, a full driving licence is required.
Person specification
Education / Qualifications
* Educated to GCSE (A-C or 9-4 grades, one of which must be English) or equivalent
* High standard of written and spoken English
* Evidence of training in leadership and management skills
* RSA/OCR Stage III/NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent.
* Able to demonstrate and evidence continuous professional development.
Experience
* Significant experience in a senior secretarial/administrative position
* Demonstrate awareness of organisational policies and ability to translate into working practice
* Organising, attending, and taking notes at senior-level meetings
* Previous experience of clinical and corporate governance processes
* Demonstrate ability to contribute towards service improvement
* Organising events for staff and wider audiences
