Mechanical Engineer - Integrated Engineering Division
The Integrated Engineering Division has two mechanical engineer opportunities within the Product Engineering Unit. Due to the dynamic nature of our work, the actual project will be confirmed closer to the time; however, applicants can expect to work on one or more of our major projects and programmes.
These could include working on upgrades to our on-site plasma experiment MAST-U, concept design work for our Fusion plant concept STEP, or decommissioning of the JET tokamak experiment. The projects will contribute to developing new technologies that will support fusion and may have applications outside of fusion.
Project work may involve design substantiation and analysis, writing technical specifications for the purchase of equipment or components, working with suppliers, overseeing manufacture, or overseeing installation of equipment and carrying out testing.
Qualifications
Essential Requirements:
1. To be considered, you will need to be undertaking your degree in the United Kingdom within a relevant area and have the right to work in the UK for the duration of the year.
