We are looking for two passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our collaborative academy. We would like candidates who are committed to joining and developing our great team, where ‘letting your light shine’ is at the heart of all we do. This is an exciting opportunity to join St Matthew’s, Derriford, part of St Christopher's Multi Academy Trust. Your role will include providing general classroom support as well as supporting 1 to 1 with individual pupils at times and assisting the teachers. You will also carry out some playtime and lunchtime duties as part of your role.
Hours:
Role 1: hours per week (term time only) 39 weeks per annum.
Role 2: 2-3 days per week 8:30am - 3:30pm (term time only) 39 weeks per annum.
Salary:
Role 1: SC2 Grade 3 SCP Range 3-5 - £18,234 per annum (£24,027 per annum FTE)
Role 2: SC2 Grade 3 SCP Range 3-5 - £6,733 - £10,099 per annum (£24,027 per annum FTE)
St Matthew’s Primary and Nursery Academy currently has around 500 pupils, who enjoy their learning in a modern, spacious and well-equipped building and supported by dedicated, caring and driven staff who will stop at nothing to ensure that each and every one of them is enabled to let their light shine.
We are looking a candidate who can demonstrate a calm and patient demeanour, who is committed to helping young people achieve their full potential. You will have had previous experience in working with children and be able to effectively communicate with adults and children alike.
