Knypersley First School is seeking to appoint a Swimming Instructor & Water Safety Officer 20 hours per week (Grade 6 term time only) to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to join us as we look to develop our swimming provision out into the wider community and offer the successful candidate access to facilities for their own swimming lesson/club.
If you are an experienced instructor or newly qualified, we would like to hear from you.
Your responsibilities will include:
* To develop swimming and water safety to its full potential.
* Plan and deliver safe effective swimming lessons to pupils from Nursery to Year 4.
* Oversee a parent and toddler swimming session.
* Pool and equipment management.
You will need to demonstrate:
* Recognized swimming teacher qualification.
* Proven track record of teaching in / out of the water.
* Strong organizational skills, commitment, flexibility and energy.
* Excellent behavioural management skills.
* A thorough understanding of safeguarding requirements in line with KCSIE 2024.
