Summary of the Role
Domiciliary care is a service designed to support individuals in their own homes, helping them maintain independence and improve their quality of life. As a care provider, you will offer personalized assistance with daily tasks such as personal hygiene, dressing, mobility, meal preparation, and medication management. You will also provide emotional support and companionship, helping service users engage in social activities and maintain connections with their community. The role requires delivering compassionate, professional care tailored to the individual needs of each service user, ensuring they feel supported, comfortable, and valued in their own home.
Mental Health, Autism, and Dementia Support
As a specialist, you will be trained to have a good understanding of mental health and/or autism and/or dementia and how this impacts our service users' day-to-day life. We equip you with strategies to best help the people you are supporting, and you will be provided with regular supervision and support to ensure you can confidently deliver the highest standards of care.
Responsibilities
* Personal Care: Assist with washing, dressing, bathing, and toileting to ensure comfort and hygiene.
* Household Support: Help with meal preparation, shopping, cleaning, and laundry to maintain a clean and organized living environment.
* Medication Management: Support with taking medication or administering it as per instructions.
* Clinical Care: Provide care for medical needs such as handling and administering medication.
* Mobility Assistance: Aid in moving around the home and performing mobility exercises, promoting independence and safety.
* Emotional Support: Offer emotional and psychological support to enhance the overall well-being and mental health of the care receiver.
* Socialization & Community Access: Assist with socializing, accessing community services, and engaging in leisure activities to promote a fulfilling life.
