The Company: Leading fashion brand are looking for a Senior Import Merchandiser to join their merchandising team. You will work with major store groups over a number of product categories including Nightwear and Accessories. The Role: This role combines strategic planning, supplier relationship management, and cross-functional collaboration to optimise the company's global supply chain. Maintain clear and accurate reporting to develop business strategies and meet company KPI’s Act as a gate keeper to oversee the end-to-end import process, from purchase orders to end destination, managing risk proactively Responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the production and critical path for the merchandising team Overseeing weekly critical path meetings with merchandisers and tech teams, providing status updates on each line Build and maintain strong relationships with international suppliers. Resolve conflicts or issues with suppliers promptly and effectively. Evaluate supplier performance and ensure adherence to agreed service levels and quality standards Build strong relationships with key clients, including face to face meetings Manage customer orders on key accounts, ensuring all queries are answered and issues are resolved Manage team of two merchandisers and part time admin support Lead, mentor, and develop the team to achieve departmental objectives. Identify individual and team training requirements ensuring soft and technical skills are developed fully to maximise productivity Ensure department’s efficient use and development of software, ERP and Power Bi Proactively identify and lead process improvements within the department Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment Skills Required: Established Import/Wholesale Merchandiser with at least 3 years’ experience Motivated, resourceful, problem solve with an ability to make commercial decisions Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Knowledge and confidence of Microsoft Office 365 and MS Teams, Advanced Excel - VLOOKUP’s, Pivot Tables Proficiency in ERP systems, supply chain management software and Power Bi is preferred Analytical mindset with a focus on cost optimisation and efficiency Leadership and team-building abilities Must have a flexible approach to work and be highly organised Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
