Grafton Banks Finance is actively supporting a well-established and growing business in the Eastbourne area, who are seeking an Accounts Payable Assistant for a 3-6 month fixed-term contract. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role will assist the finance department with a range of accounts payable and purchase ledger duties.
Key responsibilities may include:
* Processing high volumes of invoices and credit notes
* Assisting with the timely processing of payment runs
* Performing weekly and monthly reconciliations
* Reconciling supplier statements
* Liaising with suppliers and customers to resolve queries
* Supporting the finance department with ad hoc administrative tasks
The successful candidate must:
* Be based in the Eastbourne area and able to commute to the office daily
* Be available to start immediately or on short notice (February start date)
* Have previous experience in an accounts payable or purchase ledger role
* Possess strong Excel skills and have exposure to ERP finance systems, such as SAP or Sage
