About the Role
As the Senior Data Centre Manager, you will oversee the performance, reliability, and operational strategy of allocated data centre sites. You’ll manage the maintenance of critical M&E systems, ensure compliance with industry best practices and ISO standards, and lead a team to achieve excellence in service, sustainability, and risk management.
This role requires a proactive leader who can manage facilities, contractors, and small FM projects while maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and governance.
Key Responsibilities
* Facilities Management: Ensure all assets are operational, well-maintained, and compliant with policies. Oversee small maintenance projects and manage building support incidents effectively.
* Contractor Oversight: Lead and hold contractors accountable for PPM schedules, remedial actions, and performance against KPIs/SLAs.
* Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with regulations, including fire safety, environmental standards, and H&S legislation.
* Team Leadership: Motivate and develop a high-performing team, providing coaching, training, and support to meet business objectives.
* Operational Excellence: Monitor and improve processes, ensuring efficiency and adherence to best practices.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
* 5–10 years of experience in mission-critical M&E environments, preferably in IT/Telecoms.
* Strong leadership skills with significant experience managing teams and technical FM functions.
* Proficient in using maintenance management systems and analysing data for insights.
* Knowledge of compliance standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 27001, and ISO 50001.
* Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities.
Desirable:
* CDCTP certification or equivalent.
* Project management experience and qualifications (e.g., IOSH, Nebosh).
* ITIL or ServiceNow experience.
