Metal Finishing Technician - Deburr (Aerospace Industry) Are you an experienced Metal Finishing Technician with a background in precision engineering? We are looking for a skilled Deburr Technician to join our Machine Shop team, working on high-quality aerospace components. Key Responsibilities Drilling and deburring aerospace components using manual techniques and specialised tooling, including Electrical Windy Guns. Working to exacting aerospace standards, ensuring all components meet engineering drawings and specifications. Operating pneumatic handheld deburring tools, pillar drills, drilling fixtures, and Windy Guns efficiently. Using Verniers, micrometers, plug gauges, and screw plug gauges to ensure accuracy. Maintaining a clean and structured workspace following 5S Principles. Collecting and recording SPC data as required.Shift Pattern Monday to Thursday: 7:00 am / 7:30 am - 3:45 pm / 4:15 pm Friday: 7:00 am / 7:30 am - 11:00 am / 11:30 am Pay Rates (PAYE Only) First 12 Weeks: Basic: £16.19p/h (£18.54 including holiday pay) Overtime: £24.28p/h (£27.81 including holiday pay) Sundays: £32.37p/h (£37.08 including holiday pay) After 12 Weeks: Basic: £16.68p/h (£19.10 including holiday pay) Overtime: £25.01p/h (£28.65 including holiday pay) Sundays: £33.35p/h (£38.20 including holiday pay) What We're Looking For Apprenticeship-trained or equivalent experience/training in mechanical engineering. Experience in the aerospace industry or a similar precision engineering environment. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Previous experience in drill deburring. Proficiency in using measuring equipment, including Verniers, micrometers, plug gauges, and screw plug gauges.Additional Information This role is offered on a PAYE basis only - no Ltd or Umbrella companies, However Matchtech do offer advanced holiday pay.
