To provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the Liaison Psychiatry teams across University Hospitals Dorset sites at Bournemouth and Poole Hospitals, to include: answering the phone, co-ordinating referrals to the service, typing letters to other healthcare professionals, providing requested correspondence, referrals to other services, generating reports, the organisation of meetings/conferences, and e-mailing services in an efficient and timely manner.
We are looking to recruit an experienced NHS administrator to our team. You will be required to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as day to day you will be required to interact with different people and are often the first point of call when contacting our service.
In addition to customer care skills, you will need to demonstrate excellent IT skills as we use different IT systems (Rio, EPR, IAPTUS, AGYLE,DCR). You must be able to work accurately under pressure, whilst remaining calm, and be able to work well as part of a team.
You will be working within a team of administrators who provide a comprehensive administrative service across the Poole and Bournemouth sites. The role is office based and there is no face-to-face patient contact involved in this role.
We would consider applicants from other care organisations and Universities and College admin teams if you meet the person specification and have used similar IT systems.
Employment in this post requires a Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
