This role calls for an Commercial Procurement & Vendor specialist who can provide strategic direction and drive commercials across the client tech/IT supplier base.\n\nClient Details\n\nOur client is a large organisation in the Transport & Retail industry with a significant footprint across the UK.\n\nDescription\n\nDevelop and implement strategic procurement processes\nLead negotiation with suppliers to secure advantageous terms\nManage relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery and compliance to terms of contracts\nControl spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs\nAnticipate and manage any supply chain risks\nDevelop a comprehensive strategy for logistics management and distribution\nPromote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement within the team\nEnsure compliance with all relevant UK and EU laws and financial regulations\nResponsible for contract negotiation, commercial terms, renews and end-to-end procurement.Profile\n\nA successful Commercial Manager should have:\n\nA degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration\nProven working experience as a procurement manager or officer with 10+yrs experience\nKnowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a knack for reading the market\nstakeholder management\nAptitude in decision-making and working with numbers\nExperience in collecting and analysing data\nStrong leadership capabilitiesJob Offer\n\nSalary aim: £90,000 give or take base + package\nGenerous holiday leave\nOpportunities for professional development and career progressionWe are excited to meet with candidates who can bring their unique skills and experiences to our team.
