The role of a Shift Manager is key in supporting the franchisee to ensure the store is run efficiently and profitably in accordance with the company policies and procedures. You will directly lead, coach, and inspire all team members to ensure they provide total customer satisfaction and a great product at all times whilst controlling costs and building sales. We’re looking for someone with proven management experience, ideally gained in the food franchise, restaurant, or hospitality sector. A Shift Manager role with GDK is rewarding and involves working flexible hours in a fun, team environment.
Restaurant Supervisor Responsibilities:
Responsible for the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the store, supporting the General Restaurant Manager, and the development of food products and services as follows:
General Responsibilities
* Implementing the business performance strategies set by the Restaurant Manager
* Driving restaurant sales and profitability
* Executing marketing activities, such as promotional events and discount schemes
* Preparing reports at the end of shifts or weekly, including staff control, food control, wastage, and sales
* Creating and implementing plans for departmental sales, profit, and staff development
Stock Control
* Ordering or requisitioning food and supplies needed for efficient operation
* Managing weekly/daily orders to maintain stock levels and timely special orders
* Coordinating stock deliveries and maintaining accurate records
* Inspecting supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure standards are met
Training
* Providing staff training and ongoing support
* Ensuring staff are well groomed and presentable
* Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards
* Upholding food presentation standards
* Ensuring excellent customer service and handling customer queries or complaints
* Training staff on fire and safety procedures and proper equipment usage
Other Responsibilities
* Identifying additional revenue opportunities
* Knowledge of ingredients and cooking methods for customer inquiries
* Preparing duty rosters and maintaining hygiene procedures
* Supporting other staff as needed
* Minimizing wastage
* Motivating team members, providing excellent customer service, and remaining calm under pressure
* Holding a basic Food Hygiene Certificate
* Conducting daily staff briefings and ensuring punctuality
* Monitoring and recording temperatures of freezers and chillers
* Arranging store maintenance
* Supporting company policies on equal opportunities
* Ensuring safety and security in service
* Carrying out other duties as required
