We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious Partnership Executive. Reporting to the Chamber Manager, the Partnership Executive works within the Midlothian and East Lothian Chamber of Commerce team and plays a key role in generating new leads, driving sales & ensuring retention, whilst promoting events, training and other services across the wider business.

The Midlothian & East Lothian Chamber of Commerce (MELCC) champions the business communities of both Midlothian and East Lothian. We connect, communicate and collaborate to help our members save time and money, gain business knowledge and expertise and introduce them to potential customers and suppliers. We are the voice of Midlothian & East Lothian business - representing both SMEs and larger corporate organisations.
Main duties and responsibilities:
* Lead generation through attending events/meetings, via social media and other methods of communication
* Identifying and educating potential new members on the benefits of joining the chamber
* Signing up new members to the chamber, CRM and website services
* Retaining membership through constant engagement and service improvement
* Promoting and signing up members to training, events, and other services delivered by the Chamber
* Proactively targeting new sectors and partnerships
* Identifying and introducing members to each other for B2B collaborations
* Recording activity on the CRM system, producing reports as required
* Prospecting and securing sponsorship for events, awards and other chamber activities
* Providing suggestions for improvement in all aspects of the chamber
* Attending and representing MELCC at various events
* Identifying and developing new commercial opportunities
Other Tasks:
* To provide support as required by the Chamber Manager or Chief Executive
* To attend board meetings when required
* To assist in the promotion of other services, mainly the Internship programme
* To liaise with accounts regarding payments and invoicing
Skills and Qualifications:
* Excellent communication and networking skills
* Strong organisational skills, with the ability to self-manage
* Ability to multitask and manage workload flexibly
* Experience in sales and lead generation
* Previous experience in a membership-based role would be advantageous but not essential
The role will involve a degree of travel throughout Mid & East Lothian and having access to a car is essential. Expenses will be provided.
The role is part time at 21 hours a week, which can be carried out over 3 or 4 days. There is potential to make the role full time if targets are met.
Occasional extra hours of work required to cover e.g. Awards evenings, can be compensated by Time off in Lieu.
Salary of £33,000 FTE
