We need 5x fantastic CAD Technician to join our offsite facility based in Drighlington. In this role, the CAD Technician will provide support to the project department that provides fabrication works to various major projects we are working on for prestigious clients around the UK.
Some of the key deliverables as CAD Technician will include (but not limited to):
- Primarily checking drawings in a software system against client's drawings.
- Making recording comments in the software and updating trackers.
- Input/support ERP system, adding elements of demand as requested by the Engineers and Project Managers.
- Assist management in the deployment of document control, helping with the receipting, checking, printing, copying, and distribution of project-related documents. Where required, maintain drawing/TQ registers and manage the production and issue of transmittal notes.
- Coordinate the creation of new parts and carry out uploads to the ERP system.
- Compilation of handover packs for manufacturing and subcontractor document packs.
- Coordinate the production of project documentation and Operation and Maintenance Manual.
- Booking of hotels, meeting rooms, general administration i.e. copying and scanning.
Hours: Flexible to work between 7am and 5pm Monday to Thurs and finish sooner than 1pm Fridays to get 37.5hours worked.
What we're looking for an CAD Technician/ Engineer?

Some experience for the right candidate we are looking for includes:
- Some practical skills in assembly of metal parts or some welding.
- Practical ability to read some technical information and apply it under specific direction, coaching, and supervision.
- Being able to follow sequence and check list for checking drawings.
- Demonstrable experience in administrative tasks.
- Have a practical approach to tasks.
- Willing to learn and develop.
- Can-do, Right First Time attitude and jump on tasks when re-directed.
