Location/Division Specific Information
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Customer Resolution Laboratory Technician to join our team in Birmingham, UK. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on a global scale by providing product support for our speciality diagnostic assays and instruments.
Discover Impactful Work
As a Resolution Technician, you will play a key role in assessing and trending the performance of Binding Site products post release via participation in External Quality Assurance (EQA) schemes. By facilitating ongoing assessment of product performance in the field, you will contribute to the success of our speciality diagnostics assays through continual product improvement.
A day in the Life
1. Perform assessment of EQA scheme and 3rd party multi-analyte control samples across a broad range of nephelometric/turbidimetric and ELISA products on a variety of automated test platforms.
2. Accurately record test data and provide 1st level sign off on quality records.
3. Follow a daily schedule of assigned work, sourcing and preparing raw materials in a timely manner for successful work completion.
4. Complete maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment, identifying and highlighting any performance or technical issues to your line manager.
5. Demonstrate awareness and compliance to GMP, company quality and Health and Safety policies.
Keys to Success
To succeed in this position, it is important to have a keen attention to detail and strong adherence to documented laboratory procedures. The ability to identify and raise technical issues, along with excellent collaboration skills, will be important. Effective organization and task prioritisation will be key to thriving in this role.
Education
6. Minimum of 3 A-Levels (including one or more of Biology, Maths or Chemistry) required.
Experience
7. Previous experience in a laboratory setting preferred.
8. Familiarity with GMP and H&S policies is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
9. Proficient in performing routine maintenance and calibration procedures on laboratory equipment.
10. Strong data entry and record-keeping skills.
11. Exceptional focus on detail and ability to recognise and address technical issues.
