Job Title: Teaching Assistant – Psychology Graduate
Location: Accrington
Salary: £13.75 - £14.50 per hour
Contract Type: Full-time
Start Date: Summer Term
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support the teacher in creating a stimulating and engaging learning environment.
2. Work collaboratively with teachers, other professionals and parents, ensuring to meet the needs of the children.
3. Commit to the wider life of the school and the community of the school.
4. Assist the class teacher with delivering lessons and sessions to small groups.
5. Have an understanding of children’s needs so that interventions can be planned and delivered.
6. Establish trusting relationships with pupils and interact with them in order to support their needs.
You will need:
1. A Psychology degree.
2. Experience working with children.
3. A good understanding of safeguarding.
4. Enhanced DBS on the update service.
5. A good understanding of children’s Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
