We are currently seeking a dedicated and proactive Façade Designer to join our Head Office team in Sheffield.
Clear Line are a specialist façade installation and remediation Principal Contractor with over 25 years experience in the industry. We are specialising in the design, supply, installation, refurbishment, and maintenance of curtain walling & cladding.
Scope:
As a Façade Designer, you'll craft the external identity of buildings, blending aesthetics and functionality ensuring designs meet building regulations, specifications and performance criteria. Translate client preferences into cost-effective, visually striking designs. Regular site visits and staying updated on industry trends are key. You will be an expert in Façade design, rainscreen, render, masonry, and stone cladding. The ideal person will perfectly know AutoCAD draughting, plans, elevations, and section drawings. That will also include scheduling of material and material take-off, using CAD software or Microsoft software. You will be technically minded with high attention to detail.

Salary: DOE
Our Project values are between 2 to 20 million. You will be able to seamlessly cooperate with the Head and Lead Designer as well as the Project Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
* Produce plans, elevations and sections using AutoCAD software.
* Annotate drawings using AutoCAD software.
* Undertake material take-off’s using either AutoCAD/ Microsoft software.
* Produce fabrication drawings using AutoCAD software.
* Achieve key project programme target dates.
* Working closely with project Lead Designer.
* Site attendance (as required, with Lead designer or Project Manager) to better understand project requirements.
Essential skills and knowledge required for this role:
* Experience – At least 5 years’ experience in a construction design
* Cladding and Rain screen systems
* EWI render systems
* Understanding of building regulations
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to use 2D industry software
* AutoCad
* Ability to read technical drawings
* Ability to achieve deadlines set out by the project programme requirements
Desirable:
* BIM
* Revit
* HNC level qualification or above in construction or engineering related subject
* Architectural Technologist
