Role: Administration Assistant
Department: Operational Support Unit
Location: Maltby
Salary: £24,222 - £26,106 (pro rata)
Hours: 26
Contract Type: Permanent
We are looking for an Administration Assistant to undertake the viewing and processing of offences detected by camera or other road traffic offences.
Key Responsibilities
1. Record and process all notices using the appropriate computer software packages.
2. Complete opening, scanning and verification of incoming correspondence received.
3. Undertake verification duties, paying a high level of attention to detail.
4. Expedite and search for additional evidence gathering as required.
5. Deal with both external and internal telephone calls.
6. Communicate with members of the public, police colleagues, magistrates court staff and partner agencies, by telephone or face to face.
7. Prepare prosecution files for Magistrates Court.
8. General administration/clerical tasks including post duties.
9. Monitor the intercom and assist members of the public with their enquiries.
Skills And Experience
1. Clerical/Administrative experience in a busy, fast paced office environment.
2. Experience of Windows based computer systems.
3. Ability to deal with confidential information and record data accurately.
4. Demonstrated investigative skills.

Eligibility
Applicants must meet the minimum requirement checkable history criteria, which must be taken into account for individuals applying to work with South Yorkshire Police in any capacity. A minimum checkable history of 3 years is required for this role and successfully undergoing recruitment vetting procedure is a pre-requisite of employment with South Yorkshire Police.
