Are you a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist seeking a new role? At NELFT, we have the perfect opportunity for you. We are looking for a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our friendly and dynamic Special Schools team, working across Lime Academy Trust with a small team of therapists in both schools.
Main duties of the job
As a Speech and Language Therapist in our service, you will deliver care to children, young people, and their families in schools and within the clinic setting. You will provide assessments, interventions, and training to upskill school staff, with opportunities to develop and specialise in areas relating to the caseload, including AAC and ASC.
Working for our organisation
Starting with NELFT: NELFT places great importance on welcoming and inducting new starters into the Trust. All new starters will join on the first Monday of each month and undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks, including mandatory training and systems training.
Probationary Period: This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period unless they are currently partway through it.
High-Cost Area Supplement: This post attracts a payment for High-Cost Area Supplement of 15%.
Person specification
* Recognised Speech and Language Therapy Degree Qualification or equivalent
* Professional registration
* Working collaboratively with parents/carers and other professionals
* Demonstrate clear clinical reasoning based on evidence-based practice
* Negotiation, problem-solving, concentration, analytical, and reflection skills
