Our client is looking for a highly motivated Consultant that specialises in Emergency Medicine. This post has the option of being fixed term or permanent and can be part time or full time on a very flexible annualised rota.
This Trust has been rated as one of the top 10 healthcare employers in the country and is one of only a handful of Trusts to achieve the 4-hour ED standard, on average, for the whole year.
The hospital is investing in their Ambulatory Emergency Care Unit by increasing medical support to help the Advanced Nurse Practitioners. There is also a purpose-built education and clinical skills centre within the Hospital which is available for use by all health professionals.
This is an incredibly exciting time to join the Hospital. COVID-19 has allowed innovation to flourish, which has allowed the hospital to further improve hospital flow, enhance their footprint, and keep corridors in the ED clear so ambulances can safely offload.
They are working on amended acute specialty pathways (more than likely virtual) to allow for a smoother running acute service.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Full GMC specialist registration (proposed CCT date within 6 months of interview date or CESR)
2. ATLS/APLS/ALS or equivalent OR willingness to obtain within 6 months of being in the post
3. Experience in a special interest that will complement those existing in the department
4. Depth and breadth of clinical experience in Emergency Medicine
5. Evidence of clinical leadership
6. Ideally experience at locum Consultant level
