The role: We are looking for an ESG Analyst to join our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) team. The role will involve assisting the Global Head of ESG and the ESG team in delivering the firm’s ESG client offering. This a varied role that will involve assisting in general ESG project management, product development, client engagement, and strategy implementation. What will you do: Responsible for project managing the collation of the firm’s ESG View newsletter. Researching points of law and other factual issues and preparing memos and reports on ESG developments (including but not limited to regulatory, disputes and transactional developments). Working across the organisation’s practice groups, you will need to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Working closely with the Marketing and Business Development lead to support and contribute to the successful execution of ESG events and marketing efforts. Providing general administrative support, including drafting, reviewing and proof-reading emails, documents, pitch-decks and marketing materials. Tracking client engagement and proactively generating ideas to strengthen client relationships. Collating, organising, uploading and managing documents. What we are looking for: Law graduate with a first or upper second class degree or equivalent. Minimum 12 months’ paralegal experience or other relevant legal work experience (preferred). Experience of project management (preferred). Experience using legal research databases (preferred). Excellent IT skills, including Outlook, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Knowledge of and interest in ESG is key. Knowledge of the sustainable blue economy or energy transition (preferred). Highly organised and methodical approach to the role as well as confidence with IT systems. Attention to detail and the confidence to work independently. Highly motivated and commercially astute. Excellent communication skills and a collegiate, team-based attitude. The ability to problem solve and proactively offer solutions. The ability to work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy. Self-motivated, hardworking, reliable and works well under pressure. Ability to work on multiple tasks in parallel.
