Job Title: QHSE Officer
Location: Covering Redhill, Surrey and the surrounding region in London
About the Role
Our client, a leader in the AC, Fire & Smoke, and Mechanical services sector, is seeking a skilled QHSE Officer to join their expanding team. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining QHSE management systems, conducting risk assessments, and providing essential training on QHSE procedures. Additionally, this role involves monitoring and reporting on QHSE performance and ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop, implement, and maintain QHSE management systems.
2. Conduct risk assessments and audits.
3. Deliver training on QHSE procedures.
4. Monitor and report on QHSE performance.
5. Liaise with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance.
6. Manage weekly site Health & Safety and compliance meetings.
7. Review and audit subcontractors.
8. Ensure compliance with the Control of Major Accident Hazards Regulations.
9. Investigate accidents and ensure corrective actions are taken.
10. Maintain up-to-date documentation.
11. Address employee concerns regarding safety, environmental, and health issues.
12. Collaborate with line managers to enhance safety responsibilities within their teams.
The ideal candidate will have
1. Relevant qualification in QHSE.
2. Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.
3. NEBOSH Certification is required.
4. Experience in internal auditing.
5. Strong knowledge of Health & Safety and Quality Assurance practices.
6. Proven ability to manage risk and implement control measures.
7. Exceptional attention to detail and communication skills.
8. Emergency First Aid certification.
Package
1. Salary 35,000-40,000 dependant on experience
