Hours: 38.5 hours per week (continental shift pattern)
Salary: Up to £41,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Senstronics Ltd is a joint venture company supplying thin film pressure transducers to various sectors. Based in Newton Aycliffe and established in 1999, Senstronics has invested heavily in developing state-of-the-art production facilities and in-house technology.
We have an opportunity for a Shift Supervisor to join our operations unit to lead and coach a team of Production Operators, ensuring high performance and productivity. The role supports the Production Unit Manager in overseeing manufacturing functions, driven by our core values and strategic goals.
Job Purpose:
Responsible for a team of Operators over different shift patterns, ensuring production targets are met in accordance with business objectives.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Monitor progress against targets and report to Production Unit Manager with recommendations.
2. Make recommendations for the running of production work cells to achieve optimum productivity.
3. Understand shift data and explore trends and patterns relating to output.
4. Prepare for priority orders and maintain a process for expediting requests.
5. Support audit activity carried out for quality purposes.
6. Mitigate shift issues through open communication and engagement.
7. Support continuous professional development and empower team members.
8. Implement effective people management techniques and develop a culture of trust.
9. Support the implementation of new processes and equipment.
10. Enable regular communication from team members and ensure action is taken as appropriate.
11. Monitor stock levels and make adjustments as required.
12. Support planned scrap reduction actions and monitor performance against targets.
13. Conduct regular 1-2-1s with direct reports.
Candidate Requirements:
* Experience of leading and influencing others in a manufacturing environment.
* Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement activities.
* Proactive problem-solving skills.
* Confident in making decisions.
* Adept in the use of Microsoft Office.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Ability to analyse and interpret data.
* Highly organised and able to work under pressure.
