Protocol Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker for a school that we work closely with who provides provision following permanent exclusion and for pupils who are at risk of exclusion (PRU). The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of our students, helping them to achieve their full potential.
The school has capacity for under 50 pupils and its mission is to identify and address the underlying causes of difficult behaviours, facilitate re-engagement, and equip students with strategies for regulation, pro-social behaviours, and resilience. The school is part of an established multi-academy trust and each school within this works collaboratively with one another, creating a supportive community and network.

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-to-one and group support to students with varying needs.
* Support teachers in managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.
* Foster a supportive and inclusive atmosphere, encouraging students to engage and develop positive relationships.
* Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement targeted strategies to address underlying causes of difficult behaviours.
* Facilitating re-engagement with education through personalized learning experiences and therapeutic interventions.
About You:
* Understanding and empathy of the challenges faced by students in PRUs and a commitment to supporting their unique needs.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patience, empathy, and the ability to build trusting relationships with students.
* Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage challenging behaviour effectively.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
