Our client, a prominent organisation in the public sector, is seeking a talented professional to join their Interior Design and Workspace Team. About the Role
As a Workspace Designer, you will play a key role in designing and optimising workplace environments across a prestigious estate. Your expertise in AutoCAD, workspace planning, and agile working practices will be critical in delivering high-quality designs that meet both statutory and organisational standards. You’ll work closely with stakeholders, ensuring that workspace solutions enhance functionality and meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and deliver workspace proposals, creating space planning drawings in AutoCAD for various projects and business-as-usual requirements.
* Advise stakeholders on workplace optimisation, agile working, and hybrid work strategies.
* Manage workspace changes, furniture allocations, and move management services with a strong focus on customer experience.
* Collaborate with external consultants, contractors, and suppliers to deliver workplace solutions.
* Maintain workspace data and asset management systems within Planon and contribute to BIM modelling.
* Support project planning and financial forecasting for workspace and interior design budgets.
* Ensure all workspace solutions align with statutory and organisational standards.
What We’re Looking For
* Degree or equivalent in a design-related subject.
* Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
* Experience designing and planning workspace solutions for complex environments.
* Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate and present effectively.
* Knowledge of FF&E procurement, delivery coordination, and installation sequencing.
* Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
Desirable Skills
* Experience using Revit and SketchUp.
* Knowledge of working within heritage buildings and their constraints.
* Experience with workplace management systems such as Planon.
* Understanding of organisational change and political sensitivities.
