RPS is looking for a Principal GIS Consultant to join our Ecology GIS team in Birmingham or Manchester to work along side one of ourDirectors of Ecology who is leading on digital innovations and transformationand help drive change across the business. The candidate will grow,manage and support the ecology GIS team to ensure support for the wider ecologyteam in delivery of master planning inputs, ecological appraisals,ornithological surveys and studies, other protected species surveys, mitigationdesign and construction and post-construction supervision and monitoring. Your role
You will have the opportunity to benefit from an excitingand diverse workload, delivering high quality support for private andpublic-sector clients across the UK including exciting infrastructure andrenewable energy projects.
You will be building up long-lasting client relationships,generating and effectively managing new business and have responsibility forfinancial planning and management. You'll project manage a wide andvaried workload and supervise internal staff and have technical oversight andsign-off on project output.
You'll also: work with our existingSenior Ecology Team to drive digital innovations and transformation across thedivision.
Your skills and experience
We would like you to have previously lead a team of GIS consultants within anEcological Consultancy, and had first hand experience leading digitalinnovations within the GIS team and across the wider ecology team. You willhave helped drive digital transformation stretching further than just datacapture and GIS products, allowing the wider ecology team to leverage digitaldata capture to improve efficiency within internal process and communication ofdata between ESRI and Microsoft products, including but not limited to MicrosoftFlow, PowerApps, Azure and the Dataverse; to, improve speed of delivery andefficiency concerning tracking of progress, reporting, resource and programmemanagement and client facing solutions.
