The firm has worked on a variety of notable projects, including renovation and expansion of hotels, adding new facilities and accommodation, developing a residential estate focusing on energy-efficient homes and projects featuring modern flats and duplexes. They focused mainly on residential and commercial developments. Your new role We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chartered Structural Engineer to join our client. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, analysing, and overseeing the construction of various structures, ensuring they are safe, sustainable, and meet all regulatory standards.Key Responsibilities: Design and analyse structural components and systems for a variety of projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. Prepare detailed calculations, drawings, and specifications. Conduct site inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards. Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering professionals to deliver integrated solutions. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and other team members. Ensure all projects comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations. Prepare and present reports, proposals, and project documentation to clients and stakeholders. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively. What you'll need to succeed To be successful for the Chartered Structural Engineer role, you must have the following qualifications:Chartered status with a recognised professional body (e.g., Engineers Ireland, ICE).Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural Engineering or a related field.Minimum of 8 years of experience in structural engineering in the UK or Ireland with a proven track record of successful project delivery.Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro).Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations in Ireland.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
