Key Responsibilities
• Deliver High-Quality Education: Teach Mathematics to Key Stage 4 level.
• Curriculum Development: Contribute to curriculum design, ensuring it meets students' educational, physical, and social needs.
• Collaborative Teaching: Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to enhance the learning environment.
• Plan and Monitor: Use short, medium, and long-term plans to deliver the curriculum and set, monitor, and review personalized targets for each student.
• Participate in Reviews: Contribute to reviews of Statements, EHC plans, PEPs, and LAC reviews.
• Engage and Challenge: Provide clear lesson structures that maintain pace, motivation, and challenge.
• Budget Management: Oversee and manage a delegated budget as needed.
Essential Criteria
• Qualifications: PGCE, QTS, Cert Ed, or equivalent teaching qualification, and evidence of in-service training.
• Teaching Capability: Ability to teach up to KS4 in Mathematics.
Desirable Criteria
• Experience in a school or college environment, particularly in specialist education.
• Capability to teach Functional Skills Mathematics.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Effective planning, preparation, recording, and reviewing skills for student progress.
• Proficiency in IT and its role in supporting learning.
• Ability to remain calm and reflective in challenging situations.
• Proven organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
