Responsibilities:
1. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with contract drawings, specifications, Building Regulations, and Building Warranty standards.
2. Produce detailed reports using tablet-based systems after each visit.
3. Perform snagging inspections before Practical Completion and issue lists of identified defects.
4. Ensure all construction activities comply with relevant fire safety regulations, codes, and standards.
5. Conduct regular inspections to identify and mitigate fire hazards.
6. Verify correct installation and functioning of fire safety installations (e.g., fire doors, fire stopping, sprinkler systems, masonry work, and drylining).
7. Maintain accurate records of fire safety inspections and prepare detailed compliance reports.
8. Promote fire safety awareness on site and provide guidance to the construction team.
9. Liaise with fire safety consultants and other stakeholders to ensure compliance.
Requirements:
1. Qualifications:
2. Minimum of 5 years in a construction role, preferably with a technical or trade background.
3. Membership in ICWCI or equivalent required.
4. Strong understanding of Approved Document B (Part B) and BS9999.
5. Diploma or degree in Fire Safety, Construction Management, or a related field is desirable.
6. Relevant certifications in fire safety or construction safety (e.g., NEBOSH, FPA, IFE, Site Manager) are highly desirable.
7. Proven experience in fire safety management and RC frameworks preferred.
8. Strong knowledge of fire safety regulations, codes, and standards (e.g., NFPA, BS 9999, BS 9991).
9. Excellent attention to detail, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in using fire safety inspection software and tools.
