About the Role:
The post holder, in collaboration with the Team, will be responsible for the delivery and ongoing development of an activity programme facilitating groups and individual interventions and activities to support patients in their goals.

Main duties of the job
As a Band 3 Activities Coordinator/Senior MH Support Worker, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality therapeutic activities to patients requiring psychiatric support. You will:
* Plan, implement and provide meaningful activity for patients within in-patient services.
* Under the supervision of qualified staff, be responsible for the delivery of the highest standard of practice in the care, treatment, and support of the person with Mental Illness.
* Act as a role model to the Support Workers and other staff.
* Work with colleagues to manage people with complex needs and high levels of dependency.
* Contribute to new service developments and actively take these forwards as required.
* Be flexible and work with colleagues to promote the best outcomes for patients.

* Experience of working with people with mental ill health
* An understanding of issues relating to the conditions of mental illness
* Sound basic education
