Prairie AG Center is currently seeking a Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our Lloydminster location in Alberta.

Job Duties and Responsibilities Include:
* Diagnose and inspect equipment for faults and malfunctions.
* Repair and adjust equipment and replace defective parts.
* Perform updates, pre-season delivery inspections, and pre-season inspections.
* Complete work orders and enter technician notes into a computer.
* Adhere to all Occupational Health and Safety standards, as the company is committed to the protection and wellness of its employees.
* Provide service at the customers' site by driving a service truck to the customers' location.
Qualifications:
* Enrolled in the 421A Heavy Duty Mechanic apprenticeship program with your Level 3.
* Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures.
* Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in the repair of heavy-duty and/or agricultural equipment.
* Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes.
* Proficient oral and written communication skills.
* Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly.
* A High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
* A valid driver’s license with a reasonable abstract is required.
* Forklift license preferred.
