Career Teachers are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teacher to work within a Specialist School in the Waltham Forest area to support students with special educational needs including Autism, ADHD, PMLD, Global Learning Delay, SEMH, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, and Hearing and Visual Impairment.
Position: Specialist Teacher
Location: Waltham Forest
Start Date: ASAP
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and deliver individualised educational programs tailored to each student's unique needs.
2. Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
3. Implement strategies to support students' social, emotional, and academic development.
4. Collaborate with other staff members and parents to provide comprehensive support.
5. Monitor and assess students' progress, providing regular feedback and reports.
Requirements:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
2. Experience working with children and young people with a range of special educational needs.
3. Strong understanding of strategies and interventions for Autism, ADHD, PMLD, Global Learning Delay, SEMH, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, and sensory impairments.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
6. Patience, empathy, and a commitment to student well-being.
